Newsletter May 2014

Last month our meeting was at Welshfield Inn. The
food, as always, was terrific.
We thank Ken Burnett for speaking about the goingson
of the township.
And we had a special visit from Jim Patterson and
friends from the Maple Hall of Fame. They surprised
our very own Tom Blair with the induction of him
into the Maple Hall of Fame for all his years of
service in Maple production at the Burton Log Cabin.
Great job Tom!
And to go along with maple production…Thank you
to all who volunteered this year in the production of
maple syrup. You all did a great job again this year.
The meeting this month is our Annual Volunteer
Dinner to thank all of you and the many other
volunteers of all the other events that the chamber
puts on all year. Thanks for all the hours everyone
puts in to help the Burton Chamber do more things for
the community like: Summer Beautification,
Scarecrows, Saturdays in the country, Country
Hearth, Oxtoberfest, and all the behind-the-scenes
jobs everyone does for the betterment of the Chamber
and the community.
Next month the Board will cook for you at the Red
Maple Inn. This is our annual picnic meeting. Hope
to see all of you there.
