Happy Holidays,
I hope all of you have a safe holiday season and a very prosperous New Year.
Again, just want to say how sorry I am to see Brian Brockway leaving the chamber board. He was a great Vice President and did a lot for the chamber and its members. He did a lot of behind the scenes work and also headed the Geauga Consumer Connection that we held in Burton this year; in which that committee alone did countless hours of preparation for the event. He also heads up the Grand Return of the Scarecrows and helps with Oxtoberfest. For me, he was always there to help with questions and guidance, being the Past President of the chamber, and making our dinner arrangements and speakers for each meeting. He will not be going too far, believe me, so a GREAT BIG THANKS GOES OUT TO HIM FOR ALL THE HOURS HE HAS GIVEN OUR CHAMBER.
Thanks to all who helped out for the Country Hearth festivities, Santa and Mrs. Claus, Burton Congregational Church, (helped out with caroling in the park) and the committee. (Donna Cook , Jody Grzyinski, Terese Volkmann, Cindy Haycox Welman) Thanks also to all the guys who put up the Christmas decorations. (Jerry Wayman, Tom Blair, Jim Knapp, Dave Kleve, Mike Blair, Jeremy Taylor, Charlie Hauser) Hopefully I got everyone.
Our Christmas Dinner at Grandview was very good. The Cardinaires put us in a festive mood.
