Country Hearth Christmas in Burton

Come out and spend a cozy weekend in the country! Our weekend holiday festivities begin with rides on
the Christmas Express Train around the park at 3pm on Friday, November 29th. Rides will continue until
8pm on Friday and start again on Saturday from 10am until 4pm. At 5:45pm on Friday, the Burton
Congregational Church Choir leads us in Christmas Carols while we wait for the lighted Christmas parade
to start. The parade takes off down Main Street at 6pm. After the parade, our Grand Marshal will invite
anyone who has made an ornament from the Burton Public Library to come up and place it on the main
tree—generously donated by Benson’s trees. (pick up your ornament kits from the Library beginning in
mid-November). After all of the ornaments have been placed on the tree, we will all count down to the
lighting of the tree and square. After the lighting, please hang around for hot cocoa and cookies in the
square, compliments of the Burton Congregational Church. On Saturday, starting bright and early, you
can participate in the Ugly Sweater Run/Walk. Afterwards, on the Hot Chocolate Walk, sample various flavored hot chocolates from
area businesses and search for decorated themed trees around town in our Christmas Tree Scavenger
Hunt. Visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus can be booked by calling the Burton Chamber Log Cabin for an appointment at 440-834-4204.  They will be at the Cabin from 11am until 4pm on weekends from November 30th through December 22nd.

You can write a letter to Santa and drop it off in front of the Remax Rising building, look at Gingerbread
houses at the Burton Library, and drive through the Christmas lights at the Bethlehem Hills Display at the
Great Geauga County Fairgrounds. What a wonderful way to kick off your Christmas season! Please check out our Facebook
page, Burton Country Hearth Christmas for more details.
